Can we all agree about one thing when it comes to bands?
I think we can. The so called band The Offspring has more suck than just about any other band out there.

1. Nickelback makes The Offspring look like the Beatles.

8. Nickelback dominated last year's Canadian music awards:

Which explains why Canadian politicians were considering calling 2008 the "Year of Sucky Canadian Music."

2. As suckworthy as The Offspring may be, the lead singer never butchered a rock classic with a torch.

This, my friend, is true rock suck:

5. That is the shitty band known as Korn (with a k, because they are creative like that)
And the torch symbolizes the criminal act he did by attempting to cover Pink Floyd's "Another Brick in the Wall." Truly, truly horrid. You can Youtube it if you like, but I'm not going to give them that direct attention.

7. Okay, fair enough
I knew it was somebody I should recognize, but just didn't.

I'm thinking about starting a thread about bands I don't like--no explanation or attempt at persuasion, just a list to see where it goes.

It'll really stir the pot.

10. No, Korn is good.
I thought that was a picture of Danzig, who actually does suck.

13. Fuck yes, I did
They fuckin rock. Plus the lead singer dates porn stars exclusively. That proves that he's "on" 24/7, not just when he's on stage.

19. I'll give you this too.
I actually like the Punkins' sometimes. That song from the Watchmen trailer is pretty good. There, see, I'm willing to make concessions.

3. No, there is NOTHING musically that can be unviersally agreed upon

Most especially on this site.

Other than (of course) my paradoxoically true statement.

Plus, it'd have to Creed.

6. I thought the same about the Offspring...
until I realized that they don't take themselves seriously.

Realizing that made it difficult for me to loathe them like I once did... I just shrugged and said to myself: 'of course they're a joke... why didn't I realize that?'

Since then I've basically ignored them.

21. That might actually change my opinion a little bit.
If they are doing it as a lark and to mock the music industry, then that is cool. I would probably dislike them a little less if that were the case.

Wham!'s 'Careless Whisper'. :puke: By the way did they steal their name from Veruca Salt? Lame.

20. i stopped listening to them after conspiracy of one
i like their early stuff, i think ignition is an incredible album. i will admit i liked the first single off their latest album, though. someone mentioned that they don't take themselves seriously and i think they had a good point. their earlier albums had one or two kinda goofy/joke songs, but they took a nosedive when they started making albums comprised of mostly those types of songs.
