some pictures from my trip to NYC this weekend (dial-up warning)
Edited on Sun Apr-05-09 09:09 PM by Ava
we left for a long weekend in NYC this thursday and just returned home. this weekend was the accepted students weekend at NYU, so we spent the weekend checking out the campus, reviewing residence halls for my housing forms, and exploring the city. a friend of the family was kind enough to let us stay in their apartment for the long weekend. :)

Washington Square Park - taken from inside one of the NYU buildings

various pic from around the city -

riding the staten island ferry at night (my camera is crappy at night) -

the view from the apartment's balcony -

another view from a window -

the balcony view at night -

leaving NYC -

and yours truly with my awesome new NYU sweatshirt -

i can't wait for the fall!!

10. Hate to intrude as college students' parent,
but you MAY have a few things to do!!!

Have a GREAT time!

Find any decent dorm space?

20. of course i will
but an hour or so wouldn't hurt ;)

i'm still undecided on the dorms. not all were open for touring, so it's hard to make a decision without actually having seen all the buildings.

7. My daughter was there all weekend too!
She was in a music studio most of the time, but messaged with pics from the Met, a great Italian restaurant, and from over the Manhattan skyline:

15. You went all the way to NewYawkCity and didn't once patronize the Olive Garden?
Color me DISAPPOINTED.

I thought you had a sense of humor on a level with my own;
clearly, I was mistaken.

But, we all disappoint one another sooner or later, don't we?
That's just human nature.

So, where did you eat there, and what did you think about it?

19. psh, us alabama folk LIKE the olive garden
:P though i wouldn't go if i had the choices that NYC offers

we ate out only a few times. for the most part we ate in since it was cheaper and we were doing this trip on a very tight budget(thankfully we didn't have to pay for a hotel!). we did have some awesome chinese one night though. :9
