Colarado man coughs up inch-long nail after 30 years (PIC)

WASHINGTON: An inch-long nail, which was probably stuck in his sinus cavity for decades, came out from the nose of a 72-year old Colarado man when he coughed up after undergoing an MRI examination.

The MRI's magnetic force apparently dislodged the nail, so when Prax Sanchez coughed on his way out, it wound up in his throat and he fished it out, the 'Daily News' reported. Something metallic in his face was discovered by doctors when he went for an M RI to diagnose some ear problem. But the doctors could not complete the test on him as he complained of acute pain.

“The doctor said, we are having interference because of the metal in your face. But I never had any idea there was any metal in my face,” said Sanchez who has done carpentry. “I never even knew it was in there. The doctor said it might have been there f or 30 years” Sanchez was quoted as saying by the paper. Getting rid of the nail he said: “It's right on top of my dresser and I'm going to frame it.” - PTI
