Movie clichés
War movies - When a guy goes back to get a man who is shot and bleeding on the ground in no mans land, the man who goes back always gets killed trying to save the original guy, usually with the guy he was trying to save slumped over his shoulder.

Also in war movies - The guy who gives his friend a letter to send to his girfriend/parents if he should die in combat always dies in combat. This, after all his buddies told him he wouldn't die.
