You May Hate Walmart but....
I went to pick up a prescription and my idiotic insurance company wanted a prior authorization done on another prescription, like this is a cheap generic drug.

The good news, Walmart has $4 generic drugs, I saved $16 off what my insurance would have charged me much less the time and effort of getting my doctor in another city to have to fill out a form and get this done.

So while Walmart may suck at a lot of things, that was amazing that I was able to get this without my insurance being involved and saved money off it...

1. most chain stores in this part of the country offer $4 generics
Most all the local grocery chains do. I'm not sure about Target.

I'm just observing that Wal-Mart's pricing isn't unique. Didn't mean to harsh your buzz.

18. There's at least 3-4 months out of the year...
That we spend a good $350 each month on meds (during bad asthma/pneumonia season). This is why we have to drive crappy cars--we have to plan for this!

23. possible on some things I think
the $4 drugs are on a list and this one was

my insurance copay would have been $20 for the scrip

asinine logic, have to remember that.

I'm not at all happy with how Walmart and other pharmacy chains have partnered up with healthcare HMO giants and conned the elderly into insurance (Medicare HMO's and replacement plans) to "save them money", when the reality is that they cut it somewhere else. Although if you are healthy and don't have to go into a rehabilitation facility or anything like that, then you might do well in one of those plans.

12. Holy shit you have no idea what you're talking about
While you were picking up your alleged $4 prescription, Wal*Mart stole your identity and charged thousands of dollars worth of substandard electronics on the new credit card you didn't know you have. Then they short-sheeted all of your beds.

After that, they... did something to that jar of Miracle Whip in your refrigerator.

Wal*Mart is evil, and everything they do is evil. Haven't you been told?!?!?

15. You know, I really think Wal-Mart is evil, but...
so are insurance companies and the red-tape they use to find ways to reject or black-hole claims for needed scripts and procedures.

Do what you have to do...actually, if you just go into Wal-Mart to get your scripts or to just buy the loss-leaders (or both ), they lose money on you. Good job on sticking it to the (Wal-mart) man.

probably sub standard drugs made in a 3rd world country by 10 year olds forced into slave labor by Walmart bosses who drive giant SUV's and run you over if you don't go to work for them.
