1. Have you tried "compatibility mode"
Right lick on the program, sometimes it has a compatibility mode where you can select the operating system parameters you want to play it in. You can go back to windows 95 I believe.

Damn Bill Gates!

3. Any updates?
I guess you could always set up a dual boot using the O/s that it used to work in. I was a big fan of Quake when it first came out years ago; I've never found another game that matches it in pure excitement.

10. No, I've tried it - won't work - (read on)
I harvest body parts on trash day to keep a small fleet of Win 98 boxes running (the only two STABLE versions of M$ operating systems were Win 98 SE and NT 4.0 SP 4). Keep your eyes out and pick up the goods. If it is upright and large, it is probably Win 98 or maybe XP and I've heard that Myst runs on that too but I haven't tried it.

11. Hell, most of the early versions didn't work in Windows 95/98.
They rereleased an updated version that would work with the newer versions of Windows a few years back. But I don't know if you can still buy it now.
