I, for one, like new parents

I love kids. But more than that, it's fun to watch as people take on what is the biggest responsibility ever. You can never be prepared for the challenge of caring for an infant. It's a lot harder than it looks. But it's totally worth it, too. I always enjoy talking to people about the stages their young kids are going through -- and comparing notes re: what I went through with my son.

Kids are a joy.

I understand, however, that some people just are not at all into the idea of parenting. Those of us who are should respect that and not bore those folks with stories about potty training.
