Dog Jumps Fence
It never occurred to me that a dog could jump a 6ft fence. That is, until I caught the dog across the street doing it. He would wait for his owners to leave for work and then he would take a leap and pull himself the rest of the way over. The more amazing part was how how he completely cleared the fence from the outside, to get back in his yard, just before his owners got home from work.

I feel sort of bad that I never told the owners but I was in awe of what the dog was doing and he never went around the neighborhood harassing small animals or kids. He was very sweet. The neighbors moved.

Then, a young fellow moved in next door and he owned a black pit bull. She was also very sweet. One day, I opened my door and there she was, on my porch. I walked her back to my neighbor's side of the house, opened the gate and she went back inside the yard. Something told that was not going to last. I hid, just inside my front door, with it opened a crack. Sure enough, within minutes, there she was going over the 6ft fence.

When my next-door neighbor got home, I told him what had happened. Turns out he had installed some wire contraption all around the top of the fence to keep her from going over - except for a small 3ft bit. That small 3ft bit was exactly where she was going over. He fixed the wiring thing and she never did it again.

Here's some youtube videos of dogs jumping fences:

1. I once had a German Shepherd named Bronco
He could jump over 8ft tall fence! He was a very sweet big dog, though.

I wish I could view youtube, but I have been having trouble with Adobe Flash Player for some reason. :(

6. Yes!
I upgraded to newer version of Flash Player, but when it didn't work so I uninstalled it and tried again. Checked my internet tool, settings are correct. I think it may have something to do with Windows Vista in my laptop, having same problem with Windows XP in my PC when it comes to Flash Player. Googled for troubleshooting, etc. Even tried softwarepatch.com. Duh!

7. Did you uninstall the older version?
Someone else on here had that problem and getting rid of the old version solved it.

2. I had a lab/german shorthair that could clear any kind of fence

she could climb trees and ladders too. She was an alky and would jump the fence cruise the neighborhood looking of parties if we weren't having one. She would bring some kind of dish and keep dropping it until somebody would give her beer or she would steal cans and chew them up. Jazz. She was a special dog.

3. We had a dog next door to us....
that loved to jump ON things.

He was a HUGE brown and white hound dog.

Whenever you looked into his yard, he would
be standing on the picnic table or on the
car next to the garage.

My husband and I would often hear a huge
"bang" and thought that it was the sound
of "Jake" jumping onto the car roof.

One day I walked through the breeze way,
glanced out the window and FROZE...

Jake was ON TOP OF THE GARAGE....surveying
the neighborhood like a ships captain at
the helm!

When he saw me, he jumped down onto the car
roof with a BANG. Silly dog.
