Rows and floes of angel hair

11. The first time I heard it was the sing-songy Judy Collins version

I hated it! I was like 9 at the time.

When I learned Joni Mitchell wrote the song, I kept thinking "how could the woman who sang 'Free Man in Paris' produce such dreck?" Then, I got hold of "Miles of Aisles." It was a revelation... "It's a blues song, not a pop song... now the whole thing makes complete sense" Then I loved the song.

My favorite version is the one Joni does in 2000 that gets used in "Love Actually".

I still hate the Judy Collins version :evilfrown:
