2. I guess if they were skinny and pleasing to the eye they'd be better people.

7. I think it was a realistic look at how a lot of families live.
Edited on Sat Mar-28-09 09:17 PM by Shell Beau
You may call it white trash, others call it living the best they can.

I do get that this is a copycat, but poor taste to me.

9. Hmmm, watch the show - Roseanne herself used the term to describe herself and family.

At least in latter years of the show, the show of which also happens to be one of my favorites.

She did the "white trash" comment long before I used it as basis of the copycat post. Sorry if that offends you, but that's the truth.

8. Then color me 'white trash', because i could relate to that one better
than i could to the upwardly mobile folks on "Cosby" or "Home Improvement" or any of the other upper-middle-class sitcoms out there in the 80's/90's.

13. These were the older ones
When the kids were really little. It's funny to look back on them now. I think I stopped watching before the series ended. Once they won the lottery or something, I lost interest. Heh.

15. I had (and still have) such a crush on Darlene.
Sara Gilbert. Smart (Yale grad), vegan, sexy...damn hot. I love her Big Bang Theory character, which is quite good considering she's a lesbian IRL.

*sigh* So dreamy.
