I just started the second season of The West Wing....
I sometimes just throw something in that I have watched before while I read or write or mess around on the internet, or before I go to sleep.

I haven't watched it in a few years, but rewatching these first few episodes reminded me of how amazing it is. One of the best written shows ever, especially the first several seasons.

This season starts with the shootings that the first season ended with. President Bartlett and top aide Josh Lyman were both shot, Lyman was especially injured. The episodes alternate between flashbacks of the present crisis and how Josh first became involved in the Bartlett campaign, then spreads out and shows how the other main characters, Toby, CJ and Sam become involved as well.

It's brilliant and touching work. Well worth owning and watching time and time again.

1. I am a bit over halfway through the second season, for the first time.
I am impressed with the writing, and the majority of the policy arguments they touch on are mostly accurate. I am rolling through it, now. I get hooked!

2. It will suck you in
And even when the show loses a little bit, as most shows eventually do, it's still top notch. And you are so invested with the characters and the new characters that you love it as much as ever. From first season to the last, it's outstanding and worth every episode.

4. Great Lines - "Senator why don't you take your legislative agenda
and shove it up your ass."

- Josh said you liked Goldfish.

- I'd like to pummel you with a cabbage.

- The president doesn't hold grudges thats my job.

- Could you please tell me which one of those kids is my bosses daughter.

Awesome show right to the end, and I'm glad it ended when it did.

6. "Education is the key.
Education is the silver bullet. We don't need minor, incremental change; we need massive, overwhelming change. School should be palaces. Teachers should be making six-figure salaries. Education should be incredibly expensive for government and absolutely free for the citizens. Just like national defense." - Sam Seaborne.
