1. Oh God! Not even close! Pantera rules Lamb of God's ass.

Plus, their song "Redneck" sounds like they ripped off Pantera's "Mouth For War" lyric structure in huge parts.

3. While I will say LoG is one of the better things out there in contemporary metal...
... that is not saying much. Metal is in one shitty drought right now. Pantera is in a league of their own.

4. I agreed with the sentiment, I was picking on the way you said it.
Pantera rules LoG's ASS? Awfully smelly proposition!

5. I saw Pantera twice back in the 90s at Hara Arena In Dayton, Ohio
And they tore the house down. I also think Lamb of God is a good band although I have yet to see them live. I think of Pantera as more of a classic band, though, and not really a contemporary of Lamb of God. A better duel might be Lamb of God vs. Machine Head.

6. Pantera is better than LoG but both are second tier Metal bands.
Pantera was good when Anselmo would actually sing instead of doing the WWF voice.

7. Pantera is second tier!?
Who would have been first tier at the time?

8. Second tier in quality.
From an overall historical Metal standpoint. I'm not questioning whther they were the popular band of the 90's, just saying that from an all-time perspective they're in the second tier. They were a good band but not an elite band.

9. I saw Pantera open for Suicidal Tendencies in NYC
There was nothing left for ST to work with. Just a bunch of worn out zombies.
