I am certain my dog is Brain Damaged!
My pillows just went flying again. Now he's on his back, and waving and scootching around like a baby that just found fingers and toes. He's really happy with himself!

The cats just watch, like :wtf: ????

I so hated to agree to that surgery that would make him deaf. But he feels so much better now.

:D

2. Bilateral eardrum oblation. Which essentially meant his eardrums would be removed, to put it simply.
He's had awful allergies and ear infections his whole life. Including some surgeries because he'd scratch his itchy ears so hard it would break blood vessels.

Then it got to the point that he needed 2 different antibiotics for the first 10 days of every month. His ears were getting necrotic. He was absolutely miserable.

So I agreed to the surgery. I hated to make him deaf, but he IS a lot happier now. He's deaf now and it has required a few adjustments. I have a collar for him that blinks at night so I don't step on him. He can feel vibrations, like fireworks and thunderstorms. Then he snuggles, which is okay.

3. Are you serious about the brain damage?
Could the surgery have caused brain damage?

4. No, I'm not serious about brain damage. It's a term of endearment, taken from
a Bill Cosby skit many years ago.

It just means silly. He was talking about children. :)

8. No poor doggy, no sad! He's happier now! It hurt me more than him.
Storms have just started here, and supposed to last for 3 days. I have a feeling he'll be attached to me for a couple days.

That's okay. :)

12. He IS a sweetie pie. He doesn't even know he's old. He thinks he's still a pup.
He is such a ferocious protector, he'd kiss a burgler to death. Or, I could pick him up and throw him at the intruder.

:eyes:

(But seriously, the only time I ever felt threatened, the pup was all over me, and ready to tear new assholes. The guy backed off.)

14. He feels better now that the storm has passed. Gawd, I get grey hair.
And it hurts my arthritic bones when he camps on top of me all night.
