it costs .78 to send a standard size letter.

You can look up postal rates on the post office web site.

6. Checking the proper place to check these questions - the postal website - 72 cents
Used to be you could mail to Canada for the same price as in the US. Apparently that changed.

Now you have to international 72 cent rate, which is still cheaper than regular international rate of 94 cents
