we've lost a few people from this office already. Same as the other sales offices. Now they're going through the process of closing entire offices I think, we'll see.
I was laid off three times during my career. There was not a damn thing funny about it any of those times. And they always seemed to come at the worst times in our lives.
First one was when my wife was 7 months pregnant. No more health insurance. We damn near lost the house. A good friend (VERY good as I then found) lent us the money to tide us over until I could find another job. I was able to pay the loan back, but I STILL owe him.
He said he was giving us a 'heads up'. Which I'd have thought was unnecessary in this economic climate, but the responses from a couple of the admins showed that wasn't the case.
