My son is great at sharing things
Too bad this time he shared his fever-and-goopy-nose virus with his mama. x(

Ah-fuckin'-choo. Pass the Tylenol and the jumbo box of tissues, please.

5. Sigh. I wish I could.
That shit knocks the pins out from under me. I'd sleep for days, and with a kidlet who's still recovering from a series of illnesses (flu which left him weak enough to pick up strep which left him weak enough to contract this fever-virus), I can't. He's still coughing in the middle of the night, and guess who's the night nurse with the cough medicine and nose spray? :hi:

12. OMG last year's stomach virus
The memory still makes me :scared: My mom started it--was down in bed on Memorial Day, half dead. I came down with it two days later (WHY did I make tacos that night?!) I was flat out for a couple of days and recovered just in time to help MG Jr., who started hurling that Friday night. Unfortunately, he didn't recover as quickly--made his first (and, I hope, only) trip to the pediatric ER to be rehydrated. :(

15. my son lost a bit of weight one year when he had the bug - I think he was 7
it was kind of scary. Luckily he gained it right back after the bug had run it's course.

13. Thanks, Fizzgig
On the bright side, it does get me out of having to go to my cousin's kid's first birthday party tomorrow.

14. I feel for you...
Edited on Fri Mar-20-09 06:06 PM by lilgayghostgirl
I have three at home and they've brought "friends" home no less than three times this year. I'm feeling a little achy right now myself, and my nine year old and stayed home from school and my partner stayed home from work today, both not feeling well. When she she called in sick, I overheard her saying "Yeah, one of Kaylee's kids brought home a present from Elementary school again..."

Feel better soon!

16. Elementary school is a damned petri dish
I can't believe the number and variety of plagues this year! And MG Jr. is only in kindergarten...
