The BlueIris Semi-Nightly Poetry Break, 3/19/09
~from "Premonition"

It was not yet time
to grow up, & in the growing
vanquish whatever state
of mind to which one
was beholden, the mind freeze
at the end of the alley
where one was stuck
in the wet mud,
where one would remain
forever in the age one was
or stumble onwards
into another time,
a time of being older,
living by the numbers
that kept enlarging, there
was only one number &
as one grew older it grew
larger, the number of
people who were older
than you grew less & it was
not yet time to be who
your mother was, or
(like a dead soldier), the
imprint of your father
in the mud.

3. I will be on the look-out for them.
Do they have a theme?

Do you mean in a good way or a bad way?

4. The theme next week (and for the next month, really) is definitely Anger Management.
We'll start off with a look at "anger and its consequences."

7. Hey, you.
I like your journal re-design. I'm thinking of tinkering with mine, too.
