Poll question: Where do you get most of your news from?
Edited on Mon Mar-08-04 02:54 PM by mvd
I'd say I get most of my news from DU and the Philly Inquirer (print version.)

1. DU and NPR
I know a lot of people here say how horrible NPR is... but I drive an hour twice a day to and from work so I gotta listen to something. And I know a repug Cokie Roberts when I hear one.

8. That Daily Show is great
Usually I know about the stuff on there from before, but that doesn't matter. It offers a whole different take. :-)

6. all over...
newspapers: Toronto Star, Miami Herald, Kingston Whig-Standard, Ft. Pierce Tribune. Canadian newspapers in print or online, US ones online for now.
TV:
CNN, CBC, Global for national and world news. For local Watertown, NY and Ottawa, Kingston, and Toronto, Ontario.

Of course DU, that sends me in all kinds of different directions.

Magazines: Time, Newsweek, Macleans when I can afford them.

Pretty much anything I can get my hands of eyes on, I read.

10. Online and Sirius Left...
I used to listen to right-wing talk radio, but I just can't stomach that stuff any more, and now I've gotten to where I can't even stomach the alphabet networks either. Now I get all my news from liberal online sites, mostly DU, Democrats.com and Liberal Slant, and I listen several hours every day to Sirius satellite radio channel 143, a.k.a. Sirius Left. And lord, do I EVER miss Mike Malloy! SOMEBODY hire Malloy, PLEASE.

Ron

P.S. -- I wish you had included satellite radio among your options. I voted for "DU and other online sources," but if "Satellite radio" had been one of your choices, that's the one I would have voted for.

11. I listened a lot to Mike Malloy on Sirius
I guess you could have voted for radio - it includes all kinds. Schultz and Hartmann just aren't the same. They seem to be DNC-tame.

The Drudge Report, Rush Limbaugh and Bill O'Reilly. They are all fair and balanced, not skewed by bias!

18. A variety of sources
conservative, liberal, green, libertarian, american, european, asian, Islamic. Most on-line, several newspapers and journals, radio, and TV. Listening to just one viewpoint is the stupidest thing that I can imagine.
