Do you like live music? Here are about 500 shows!
All on this thread. They are all on sendspace or mediafire, so you will have to download them.
Most of them are not hotlinked so you will need to cut and paste the links in yur browsers. There are some videos too, full length shows.

http://www.phantasytour.com/phish/boards_thread.cgi?threadID=1828639&page=1

Unbelievable the artists in here. Muddy waters, Can, The Police, Springsteen, radiohead, Steve Miller, The Allman brothers,Miles Davis, Wayne Shorter, just about everyone (it is a non jamband thread too for those of you who aren't into jambands).

Check it out, I am sure there is something you like in there.

The BB King/Hendrix show is incredible.

9. it is kinda strange, isn't it....
I am so blessed to have been able to do so many of the really early farm shows in Vermont back in the day. One weekend, we drove out to what we thought was a show - oops, er had the wrong weekend :smoke:

We just camped anyway ;)

I just spoke to my stepdad about helping me get tix to the show. At SPAC, they sell to members before the general public. He said he will "stroll on over there" today and score me some tix - hopefully :bounce::bounce:

Now if this does not cement my spot in a certain Phish-head's heart, I don't know what will. He could not get tix to Hampton, managed to squeak a couple to Camden and is doing Bonaroo solo. He will be driving from VA to Camden, back to VA, and then on to Bonaroo in a 10 day period :wow: That is serious love....

So i thought I would post some to show you. We even have a link to quality boots there too.

This thread has been going for about a month or so and we have compressed it down. On this board 499 is all the posts you get so every time it gets clsoe we compress it and post all the links from the past threads. This is the third, and like I saw there are over 500 different shows in this one link, all high quality.

My fave is the Joni Mitchell/James taylor. Weird combo but really it is great.

18. "...Intro Tom Donohue..." (from your "Asleep at the Wheel July 73 San Francisco KSAN" post)
There's nothing that compares with having been in listening range of San Francisco's mighty KSAN during its heyday. Bill Graham obviously deserved the kudos sent his way, but Donohue had (at minimum) an equal impact.

I remember Rolling Stone's Ben Fong Torres...also a KSAN DJ...introducing a "new release" album one weekend, saying something like "I just have a feeling that this one is going to be BIG."

He then played Boz Scaggs' "Silk Degrees" in its entirety.

Edited on Thu Mar-19-09 12:44 AM by Bennyboy
Remember when The radio and the newspapers broke the latest artists? Like KSAN did or the Chronicle and Ralph Gleason. Instead of the shit they do now. Now wonder nobody is listening or buying the paper anymore.

Bill was a huge part of it, he could sense it, uncanny. I love his autobiography. one of my all time favorite books.

41. How about the LAST WALTZ (the COMPLETE SHOW!)
The Band
1976-11-25
Winterland, San Francisco, CA
mp3, 256k, raw soundboard
part 1 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=N51MGBC3
part 2 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=KB7TMK9V
part 3 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AQLXFEF5
part 4 http://www.megaupload.com/?d=04FJJR4G

Here it is, The Complete Last Waltz Bootleg, the raw, unmixed, unretouched soundboard tapes of the entire concert from that historic Thanksgiving Day (11/25/76) Show. This is the only recorded version that includes the entire concert from start to finish, and presents the show as a concert experience, rather than as an album experience. Yes, there is an official release that presents an expanded version of the concert (2002, Rhino, 4-CD Box Set), that includes several songs not originally included in the film or the original 3-LP or 2-CD releases, but it still leaves out several songs, and does not present all the songs in the actual concert order (The official expanded set fills up the 4th CD with rehearsal session takes and additional studio film music, rather than all songs from the concert). Also, the sound is vastly different on the bootleg from both the original and remastered expanded official releases. Don't get me wrong, the 4-disc Rhino release is exquisite and I heartily recommend it to all fans of the Band. Please, Go buy it. That project was meticulously remastered, crafted, and overseen by the perfectionist Robbie Robertson himself, and it sounds great!. But they also redubbed or overdubbed parts that were not clear, edited some of the songs, removed much of the crowd noise, etc. to create the best sound possible. What this bootleg version gives you is the actual concert experience, what it was like to have been there for the event itself, even with some sound limitations and mistakes (crowd noise, some instruments lost in the mix, or sloppy playing, etc. But it is still a fine sounding soundboard recording). I think both the expanded official release and this bootleg version are must-have for serious fans. Thus, this version is decidedly different from any official releases and does not infringe upon them. For a complete description of the differences beween the official releases and this bootleg (and why you should get both), see This article from The Band's website (http://theband.hiof.no/articles/tlw_katz.html) and this article (http://theband.hiof.no/albums/complete_last_waltz. html) for a fuller description of this bootleg.
