I just watched Rachel Getting Married

Damn, Anne Hathaway was good. I feel emotionally drained. I guess being the official fuck-up in my family really made me identify with her character. I wasn't quite as "bad" (don't want to give spoilers) but I felt it.

Seen any good movies lately? I haven't seen anything "current" in a long time.

It was very well acted but none of us liked it. Rretentious and frankly I didn't care about any or the characters.

11. Let's see, I recently rented "W" and found it very

depressing. Damn. Just so discouraging that ANYONE in this country could think he was a good leader. Just a movie, but still.

Rented "Nights in Rodanthe" because I wanted to see an escapist movie. It sucked. Don't know why I thought it'd be otherwise, since it's from a Nicholas Sparks book, but still, Diane Lane and Richard Gere, and wild horses and the sea. Still sucked.

Rented "The Secret Life of Bees". Not bad. Book was pretty good, movie was OK. But Queen Latifah and Dakota Fanning are always interesting to watch. Not to mention Alicia Keyes, Jennifer Hudson... There was a trailer for a movie called "Bottle Shock" with Alan Rickman about the 1976 France/California wine tasting - looked very good.

I need to go by the local independent video store b/c I want to see Religilous and Vicky Cristina Barcelona, but not sure if they'll be available here in our fundie town. Seems like the only damn things the kiosks and the video stores carry is slasher movies. I realize Netflix is out there, but somehow just haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet.
