9. You called pizza "hot pie"?
As opposed to, say, fruit pies that were served cold?

I've never heard "hot pie" before. Where was this? (I love all the different ways language is used in the United States.)

10. Yes...Upstate NY...
VERY common term. I also like the language difference by region.

11. In NE PA, where I grew up,
it was always "pizza pie," which translates, of course, to "pie pie."

I don't remember the last time I heard "pizza pie."

16. And since you are from NY, I suppose you fold pizza in half and eat it like a sandwich.
That's just wrong. :eyes:

17. No, NO!!!!!
That's the best way to eat the real pizza. Keeps it hot. So you end up holding your mouth open, drooling on yourself, dancing around, and then taking - of course - another bite.

I'm hungry now.

20. Yes, YES!!! Especially if you're just grabbing a slice on the street...
...and walking with it.

Unless it's a sicilian slice.

Which would be really lame.

22. pizza is, for sure
"hot pie" on the other hand, is not. Ok, maybe it is a term for pizza, but it sounds downright filthy.
