Paranormal Research fans out there?
I just jouined a paranormal research organization a couple of months back, and I'm going on my first investigation on Friday. I'm really excited, but I kind of don't want any of my friends to know, because I'm afraid they'll think I'm kind of a dork.

I mean, I AM a dork, but they don't need independent confirmation, lol.

Ant other ghost hunters out there?

1. I wouldn't do it myself...
but I do like the show Ghost Hunters now and again.

Credit to you for going out there yourself... I'd be too chicken.

2. That's cool. What's the background story on this place
if you don't mind.

4. Church being converted to
an apartment/condo building. Had some activity when it was a church, and seems to have picked up now that they are converting to a residential building. Some residences have poltergeist-type activity (bed/furniture moving), disembodied voices, etc.

3. Sort of
Not with detection equipment. When I belonged to a coven, I went out to a couple of places as part of a "housecleaning" crew. It was cool. What was notable was that a lot of people who thought they had ghosts really didn't. Made me wonder why they thought they did, and what was causing the activity or "weird feelings" they had.

14. I've heard of such "housecleanings"
though for the purpose of clearning out the leftover energies of the previous owners before you move in. I know the burning of sage is used for that, but I don't think I could be around it as all that smoke bothers my lungs.

What method did y'all use for the clearings, if I may ask? :)

17. Sage, sea salt, powdered iron, incense
Any of those work--or a mix of them. :)

6. Oooooh, it would be fun if you could post about it here.
Like maybe a blog with entries and different times. Or, if not, maybe post about what happened, or didn't, after you are through. I love stuff like that.

7. Avoid this man at all costs

Actually, I've been reading "The Andreasson Affair" and was Googling a picture related to that book, and, well, you see what happened...

9. I know a place in NH that someone should investigate
My parents have had more than a little strangeness at their house. Odd lights, cold spots, unexplained noises, etc. Funny part is that they live in a gambrel built around 1960 and their town has a bunch of 300+ year old colonial homes.

And yeah, I am a dork. :P I'd probably also pee and run at the first sign of anything.

11. semi-ghost hunter
I'm a huge ghost town buff and when I go hunting I always take audio recordings while I wander around in case I get an EVP or two. I've been lucky enough to get a few over the years; it's amazing to hear...

Good luck, you'll have a blast!

12. YES
I know it makes us a little out of the ordinary ourselves BUT I cannot help it. I am intrigued! I have only been on one investigation and my old boyfriend and I had a blast! We even picked up a few EVP's. We just used a normal digital recorder and we took alot of pictures and stuff you just have to be sure you take lots in the same place so you have several for comparison. We did make some rookie mistakes but we had a really good time. Where are you going? What equipment are you using?

15. Go Cards
I find the paranormal interesting and fun to watch someone else get involved in. It is entertaining. I like the Haunted History shows, etc. If you like the Cardinals, then you are probably not real dorkish.

19. I fear we are WAY off base with this.
We need to study other dimensions, not yet possible

and multiverses, not yet possible.

Those two studies may give us some alternate glimpses of these carajos and what they are doing.

Sorry I am still steamed at the Hysteria Channel for their ancient aliens racism a few days ago and am having trouble elucidating.
