No, I do NOT want a facial. No, I do NOT want to buy your useless and ridiculously-priced "bronzing lotions." No, I do NOT want to set up a recurring account. I just want to lay in one of your silly beds a few times per week up to the cruise I'm taking in April, so I do not look like a vampire and so I won't roast myself on the first day out. Is that really so hard to understand?

3. I don't get all that dark, anyway....
I just want enough to keep me from really roasting right off the bat (because I am absolutely the WORST about applying sunscreen).

Which reminds me of one I forgot: No, I do NOT want to do the spray-on tan right before I leave...

:hi:

8. But I do have an excuse for my sunscreen reluctance....
I've yet to find one that doesn't irritate my skin (and I've tried lots). It may not happen the first time I apply it, but I eventually break out in an itchy rash.

Yeah, I know all about the "cancer beds" and all.... but other than living like a mole, this is my option...

2. Tanning beds are madness
Cancer machines, my dermatologist buddy calls them.

There are great self-tanners out there that won't do permanent damage to your skin. And remember that a tan is nothing but a symptom of your skin cells having been injured. That "healthy glow" stuff was debunked a long time ago.

I'm always surprised to hear of anyone actually patronizing those places.

4. See I take care of all that by going to Vegas and staying indoors for 90% of my stay. That way, I
keep my ghostly white look and I don't have to fuss with all that tanning bed stuff.

16. Don't think it didn't cross my mind......
So apparently my gay gene is somewhat suppressed by the guitar-playing gene at times? I dunno.... Genetics are a complicated thing!

19. LOL....
I think most of the lounge ladies would surmise that "old" is an un-necessary superlative- Men are dirty, be they old OR young....

14. I agree....
But I think it's a sales technique they employ on any male that walks in there (but kinda wasted on me, as a gay man). But I don't DARE tell them so- I fear they'd redouble their efforts on the sales pitches for creams, lotions, hydrating massages, etc....

15. ROFL....
Before looks a little on the blue side.... I'm not aware of any smurfs in my family tree!

After..... :scared: EXACTLY why I don't want any kind of spray-on tan. I fear that I'd end up looking like that.

21. That guy scares me
I'm not sure if he was dipped in asphalt or left on a 7-11 hot dog roller too long.

22. It's kind of freaky that you can't see any sign of lips....
and that his neck seems to be darker than any other body part....

I'll vote for the hot-dog roller- that would also explain the greasy sheen, after all!
