Weird up-and-down days.

Sickness and misery all around, both last night and today, and now this in my e-mail:

FROM DONALD E. H***, CHAIR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENGLISH:

Dear Lyric,

You have been identified as a student eligible for the Virginia Butts Sturm Undergraduate Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to the Department's most outstanding sophomore English major.

If you are interested in being considered for this scholarship, please send a one-page letter, in which you tell us about yourself, to Donald E. H***. You should include any honors you have received, organizations you belong to on campus, and any community service you may have performed here or at home.

The recipient of this scholarship will receive an award during the 2009-2010 academic year. The recipient will also be invited to the Department's annual Awards Luncheon on April 22nd and recognized as a recipient of this scholarship.

I will need your response by Friday March 27, in order to give the selection committee enough time to review the files. The recipient will be notified in early April. You may send your letter to Donald E. H***, Department of English, **** ******** University, PO Box 6298, **********, WV *****-**** or leave it in his mailbox in room 120 ****** Hall.
