1. Yep. And I just gave myself a double dose of it when I glanced at a clock
I hadn't reset - flash of happiness at how much time I had left to sleep, followed by crushing disappointment when I realized it was actually time to get up... (

11. Well you wouldn't have to fall back, if we didn't spring forward
Didn't you mention that you really miss that extra daylight? I'm sort of the opposite, I really don't need daylight and actually enjoy nighttime. I do hate missing the hour and waking up early though. I think my body's natural rythems are EST not EDST

12. It isn't extra sunlight. It is the same amount of sunlight. They just
call it a different time is all. I just don't need that extra hour they "created". I say we split the difference by a half hour and leave it alone ;)

split the difference and stop the time changes. Works for me.

30. Excactly. You think the farm animals care?
Nope, you still gotta milk the cows at the same time and cut the hay when it's ready. And roosters? Heh, heh...they don't have clocks.

34. Local noon should follow solar noon as much as possible
Noon is supposed to be when the sun is the highest in the sky. Obviously, we can't really do away with time zones so there will be +/- a half hour either way depending upon your location but "noon" shouldn't be 1 or 2 in the afternoon.

15. I think you mean DST is awesome, right?
I never understand people who grumble about DST.

If it weren't for the extra hour of daylight, I wouldn't hardly ever get to see the sun. It's about the only thing that makes working a 9-6 office job bearable for me.

16. it's the fall back that I hate
I hate hate hate when it suddenly get's dark at 4:30-5 o'clock. I'd be happy as a clam if it stayed exactly as it is now.

17. It does indeed suck great big green rocks. And we don't even have it out here.
In fact, that's the whole problem: our cable channels run on Pacific time, so everything is now an hour earlier. In particular, the previous night's Stewart and Colbert are now at 5 and 5:30, instead of 6 and 6:30. Seeing as how I leave work at 5, I'm screwn. :(

24. Slowly. Very slowly.
There's nothing here in MS in the legal arena. We want to go back to KY and it looks like we'll have to, one way or the other.

We're hanging in there.

Thanks,

Bake

21. I could sleep for a week
and the worst thing about it for me is that I hate daytime with a passion anyhow. So, I get to stay up later, in a way, before the sun comes up, but nighttime comes later too. So, here I am up in the daytime and feeling like shit. I want my nighttime back.

29. Especially when you get cheated out of a cool birthday....
Why? Because you were born between midnight and 1am. Baby was due July 4 but born 12:58am. If'd been normal time she would've been born 11:58pm...thus...born on the 4th of July. Never mind, we celebrate both days but the birth certificate says the next day. The 4th was her due date.

32. I love it! I'll trade the jet lag for an hour more of daylight in the evening.
It's not quite as important as it was when I worked in a cube farm, but it's still nice.
