what changes if you add someone to your buddy list?
Hi,
My second thread and once again it is a stupid question, I read the faq but all I saw was how to add, but what changes if you add someone to your buddy list?

Thanks and Peace

1. My dear hibbing!
About the only thing adding someone to your buddy list does is to make it easier to PM that person...

In my experience, anyway!

It's not a stupid question, either...

:hi:

My Dear Peggy,
Thank you so much I read the faq and thought something would change if I did it, but was not sure what!

Wow, now I totally feel a part of the lounge after getting one of your lovely responses. You are one of the people I feel I "know" from lurking for years here. You are always so kind and sweet and I love your pictures and your poetry.

Peace

4. Thank you...
That is so nice of you! I was new once too, and it felt really good to have people treat me nicely.

I'm so pleased you like my poetry...and my pictures...

Sometime, pop in and leave a comment! It always makes me happy when folks comment, even briefly...

3. It just means you don't have to go searching for them to send a PM.
You can just consult the buddy list, and write to them if you are so inclined. It doesn't change anything else.

Again, hi neighbor! :hi:

5. the Lounge rules
Hi,
Go figure, out of all the places on the intertubes and series of tubes I find myself here and find a few people that are relatively speaking neighbors, how cool is that? Plus I got a "my dear" from CaliforniaPeggy tonight!!!!!!!! I can hopefully now sleep peacefully when I get there.

Peace

6. hibbing, if you think this is a stupid question
then you just haven't been around here much.

I'm sorry I can't answer your question. I'm a prick and don't have any buddies. x(

Seriously though, I'd go by what California Peggy tells ya. She knows what's going on around here. :-)

8. Wow. I thought I was an infrequent poster.
I see you've been here as long as I have. I've been on a binge recently and just went over the 2000 mark, but I'm a posting fool compared to you.

I read your profile and know what you're saying. I'm pretty much an unknown here but I've spent a lot of time lurking here and in GD and I'm very familiar with a lot of the regulars.

You need no welcome, but I hope you keep posting. It's always good to see new perspectives. :hi:

9. thanks sammythecat
Hi,
Yeah, I am cautious in my online life and my quote unquote real life. I am a cynic at heart mostly from experience. I have found lurking here and posting *very* rarely that there is a community here that I can relate to. It is nice to find an environment that I know most of the people are leaning in the general direction I am politically. Now "culturally" and however else you want to identify that whole thing I understand there will be big differences of opinion. But generally speaking I like the vibe of the lounge.

Peace
