Jean Reno Appreciation Thread

-- No, finito. Don't stay in the past. It's like playing tennis. If you win a match, you're not going to stay. You have to go to the next tournament. You're not going to come saying "I won the match, I'm the best." No, again on the courts and play. That's the life. It's like you. One article is not the same, so you have to write another one and another challenge. That's life.

-- Everyone has his reasons.

-- I grew up watching John Wayne, William Holden, Marlon Brando, while also mentioning French actors like Jean Gabin and Louis Jouvet. I had space, liberty, that's American. And I had stories in little streets, with a little music in the background, that's the French.

-- The advantage of being eighty years old is that one has had many people to love.

-- They can twist a scene because they're more crazy than regular actors. So, in fact it is a good exercise for an actor to work with a comedian. It helps.

5. We dated briefly, me and Janet.
Okay, not really, but I do have a picture of the two of us on my office desk as a celebrity brag. I actually met her twice. Pretty neat woman. We talked about our favorite Florida springs and both agreed on Ichtucknee as our all time favorite.

Until recently being eclipsed with my chance encounter with future Vice President Biden, she was my biggest celebrity story.

7. Now I'm jealous
I think Janet Reno is the best Attorney General this country has seen in a long time, and perhaps in all of US history.

2. I haven't seen him a lot, but he was great in "The Professional"
I really liked that movie, and that was the first time I saw him.

3. He usually plays a supporting character
He had a pretty good supporting role in Flyboys. That was the last movie I can remember him getting very much camera time as I didn't watch the Pink Panther movies.

He sometimes stars in French films, but few in the US ever see them.

4. He was the only one in DaVinci Code that...
Dan Brown had someone specific in mind when he wrote the book. Loved him in La Femme Nikita.

... and served to cement my serious crush on him :D

But in Ronin, I thought the ice-rink finale was totally lame. Otherwise, the rest of the movie was great.

And on edit I might add, how cool is it that we was born in Casablanca, Morocco?
