Feel sorry for me!

Our wonderful, left leaning network administrator is leaving at the end of the month. He gave me a "heads up" that the new guy loves Bush and is a right wing nut. Feel sorry for me...now I have no one to talk politics with here are work. I'm getting paranoid that the new guy may watch were I go when I surf the web on my breaks and lunch!

There is little that is worse than having a reich-winger for a boss. You have to listen to their hot-air and misinformed political views, and you can't go anywhere to get away from it.

I had a boss who didn't know where I stood but he suspected I was a Dem, so he kept baiting me.

The one day I let him have it with both barrels--and guess what? He came back to me the next day and said he respected my opinion!

8. Avoiding being watched

There's two main ways of watching you - packet sniffing and peeking.

If he suspects enough to start watching packets, his packet analyzer can watch the traffic and note that some of it is going to democraticunderground.com. If he's just sniffing, you can get a bogus ftp session or other bandwidth waster going in another window and your DU packets will be buried inside the FTP session.

To peek, he needs to use SMS or some other screen capture protocol. The thing is, though, you can watch it happen by keeping your task manager running in one corner and watch for strange programs to pop up. Also, if your mouse suddenly gets really sluggish or the mouse pointer starts moving on its own, you're being watched.
