Hey everyone, long time no see!
:hi:

Life without my laptop has been interesting. I find that I'm not missing the internet that much at all, even DU. I pretty much only use it right now to check my email. I think it's better for me psychologically, which is weird.

So I've been biding my time doing things like knitting and reading *gasp* books! :o

Just wanted to say hello. I get my new laptop tomorrow, but I'm going to try to not be online too much, if I can help it.

:hi:

2. Glad to hear you're getting your new one...
I'm sure not reading LBN or GD would be good for anyone's mental health. :P

3. Speaking of email,
Did you get mine??? :D

I know what you mean about not missing the internets that much, although I think my lack of interest once I get home from work has more to do with being seated at a computer all day typing my little fingers off!

Nice to see you again, my sweet.... now go answer my email!!

5. bi-baby, whatever you choose to do, know this:
Should you choose to DU more often, the door will be wide open, and the arms holding it will be even wider.

Enjoy the books.

:loveya:

You are gemstone.

6. I didn't really miss it either.
My home computer got herpes, so it was down for a few days. The virus seems to be gone but it's running soooooo much slower that even when I am home now, I don't really use it all that often.

It's more for convenience. I did miss not checking my work e-mail, instead they had to call me all the time, which was annoying. And I don't really go on DU all that often anymore so that wasn't a problem.

Good to see you back on. :) :hi:

7. I find it's nice to just pop in and out

Start going too crazy w/ work, come and read a few funny threads, feel slightly human, start working again. Repeat.

I am in a state of super massive freak-out right now about my interview... and also trying to get my dissertation handed in by 3/20 or so... i will be a MUCH happier girl in a few weeks!

Glad to hear you are doing well!!!

9. I'm with you
When I move, I'm getting internet access but no cable. And internet will be for work and occasionally checking in with friends. VenusRising is going to help me with my knitting and I've got leaves that were cast over a year ago that need to be painted. Oh, and there's the quilt for mom. :)

10. I *should* be unpacking my crap...
I'm avoiding it. Good to see you too! When I moved I found so many unfinished crochet and craft projects, I'm totally embarrassed. You are inspiring me to keep them out and finish them before I hide them again in the new place. :D I should hide the computer instead.
