Happy 1997 everybody!
Dow industrials fall below 7,000; lowest since '97! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090302/ap_on_bi_st_ma_re/wall_street

Lets see its May 1997 right now. I'm in high school and it sucks I have no money no girlfriend and another year of high school. But on the bright side I think a new Seinfeld is on tonight! Babylon 5 is still on tv! Maybe this aint so bad.

3. I'm gonna graduate this year! Sweet!
Edited on Mon Mar-02-09 02:29 PM by Tommy_Carcetti
Not to mention I can still enjoy The Smashing Pumpkins with all four original members!

I'll get to see two of my grandparents again, plus my favorite cat in the world.

Oh, and the Orioles are going to kick ass this year, and win the division. They won't win the World Series, but the Marlins will, so that's still pretty cool.

I'll get to go on some good college visits before I start in the fall.

On the other hand, I have to work in the fast food industry and I won't get my 1994 Dodge Shadow until May, which means I'm still stuck with my 1986 Ford Escort that can't go 20 miles without the engine flooding.

Actually, if anything I'd love to relive from Summer 1995 to Summer 1996. Now that would be truly awesome.

6. I was in my second semester of my freshman year in college.
It was a weird time for me. I was enjoying college, but my oldest brother had just died the day before I started college in August of '96. My family was still out of wack. It was a crazy time. The freedom of being away from home but still needing to be home for my mom.

7. I'm in the throws of manic behavior
Thinking I can change the world. Pissed at the gov't still for freaking "closing" last year. The homeless people of Broward County are so overlooked that the powers that be think it's ok to tell folks they cannot feed them, so I go to war. The damn busses need to fix their damn wheelchair lifts. I have a meeting coming up with a county commisioner to address this.

People suck. I wish my wife would freakin' go the hell on already..

I think I'll give AA another try. Them damn doctors and therapists don't know shit...

Look! A squirrel!

10. hm, May of 1997 I was looking forward to graduating from 8th grade
and put the suckiness of grade school behind me. Little did I know that I'd still be among more unpopular kids in high school as well, lol.

11. Let's see....
May 1997 I was ending my soph yr of college getting ready to move back home for the summer. One of the longest, most boring summers ever... Fall 97 however started one of the best periods of my teens/early 20's. Ahhhh...memories...:)

16. Ick ...

1997 was one of if not the worst years of my life.

I don't care to revisit it.

Oh, we're talking about the DOW. Feh ... It's the DOW.

18. I WISH I could go back to 1997.
Knowing what I know now, of course. I would immediately quit school (it was a mistake to begin with) and get on with living my life, rather than wasting additional years.
