4. Dolly is an Obama supporting Dem!
She has a foundation that gives books to poor kids

and on top of that she can sing!

16. That album / CD is out of print, isn't it? I played the LP of it to death
already.

It would be great if these music companies would get together and offer downloads or re-releases in CD, etc.

"The Cowgirl & the Dandy" is a fine recording on that one.

14. Anybody heard Dolly do Woody Guthrie's "Plane Wreck at Los Gatos?"
She does a tremendous job on it.

Also recommended: Dolly Parton, Emmylou Harris, and Neil Young doing "Light of the Stable," on the Emmylou Harris CD of the same name.

17. Dolly covers Stairway to Heaven
really
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vp8-tJTUWto

this is not her video but you can hear her version. It's pretty damn good except for some weird lyric changes.

20. Feeling that more hailing of the great Dolly Parton is in order,
I herewith recommend the article

"Dolly Parton is Such Sweet Sorrow" by Toby Thompson in the Village Voice, 19 April 1976

and therewith kick this thread.
