New York City DU'ers--some pronunciation help.
There used to be a famous restaurant in NYC called Lutèce. It closed down a few years ago, but I'm using the name in a poem that I *might* have to read out loud. Does anyone here know for sure how to pronounce "Lutèce?" My instinct is "Loo-TASE," but I need to know absolutely-for-sure.

Thanks in advance!

2. Not sure, possibly ask a speaker of French...

it was the name of a Roman colony on the site of what is now Paris...more specifically it's the name of one of the few remaining ruins, an amphitheater.

4. Awesome! Thanks--I really appreciate it.
It would have been embarrassing to pronounce it wrong during a reading.
