CBS 48 Hour "Mystery"..wtf

Super wealthy family buys boat, decides to sail around the world, and hits a reef, and almost dies..

apparently they never heard of life jackets
Mom tells us all how dad, a relapsed alcoholic was drunk on the boat many times, and even fell into the water a few times..

(wonder if the insurance company knew that he was drunk a lot of the time)

everyone seems to have fought most of the time..

and now the have written a book, and CBS does an hour long- commercial for them:shrug:

No mystery here..

stupid people with too much money took a huge chance with their lives & the lives of their kids, and through the efforts of a whole lot of people and some luck..they survived..

where's the "mystery"?


Now if they had done a series of stories about where all the WALL STREET MONEY WENT?? well THAT'S a mystery worth watching..

1. Thank goodness someone else saw it!

What an idiot mom and dad are! They have this dream to buy a boat and sail around the world someday, so, they buy a boat, and then tell the 4 kids, two of whom are TEENAGERS, the plan and set sail. The family had no history of boating at all...unreal! The kids fight a lot...duh...so dad starts drinking???? It sounded like nobody read a chart or knew anything about navigating...you don't just run into a reef! He's lucky he didn't kill the whole family...they were very lucky.

Dang, I hate stupid people! At the end, it said dad was going to do the Swiftsure (Victoria to Maui) this year and the wife and kids were not going with him. This is a race, not a pleasure cruise. Nobody takes the wife and kids unless they know how to crew, which I doubt.

Poor people get the brunt of the "no education" put downs, but there are a lot of stupid rich people too. That just goes to show ya, there are stupid people from every walk of life.
