5. It's a King Cake baby.
They are luck, but they also mean you have to buy the next King Cake. Although many bakeries won't bake the baby into the cake anymore, because people not aware of the tradition keep swallowing the babies.

4. i got the baby when i went to new orleans years ago
my great-grandmother's birthday sometimes fell during mardi gras and we visited one year. i think i still have it stashed away somewhere.
