8. Would you have rather been John Coltrane or Miles Davis?
That's a question that I have been asking people lately :)

9. hmm, I think Coltrane - more because of some of Davis' domestic violence
issues, from the social standpoint. (although the drug issues for Coltrane would be hard to deal with..)

From the musical standpoint, maybe Davis, I have to say I think his music speaks? to me a bit more than Coltrane's...

that's a cool question, though.

11. I lean to being Davis...
ms mitchum immediately knew that would be my answer:
I'm an economical player
I have no capacity for spirituality
I can be a little...uh...uh...short-tempered (no domestic violence,though)
I'm not averse to the Prince of Darkness angle myself
and
Miles was living in a beach house in Malibu at the end of his life!

12. I like his music a lot, esp. the Cool School stuff, he was very innovative
in so many ways. And my husband has always been a big Miles fan...

I think I would miss the spirituality angle, myself.

13. His "I've changed music four or five times" was no coke-fueled idle boast...
