Saturday night and trying to remember the general orders...
or my weapon's serial number. There was a time when in the presence of tear gas that I could rattle off both the general orders and my weapon number in a flat three seconds. Of course to escape that environment I would have recited the complete works of Shakespeare in even less time.

Anyone recall what the third general order was?

3. Don't leave your post until relieved?
I can't remember either but believe it or not, I was thinking about these the other day too. I was taking a dump and I recalled that in basic training at Fort Knox, the general orders were stenciled on the insides of the crapper doors.
