I click Itunes and get this. A yellow triangle that has an exclamation mark inside and says The iTunes Music Library File cannot be read because it does not appear to be a valid library file.
You're on a Mac, I assume? You do that by restarting while holding down the option and apple keys. Hold them down until you get the prompt, "Do you really want to rebuild the desktop file?" Say yes.
iTunes is really weird about the way it catalogues files - did you add/modify any part of the iTunes music folder? Would "System Restore" take you back a few days and fix this problem?
it worked, and I avoided my mistake from last time. You see it asked me if I wanted to clear my files from my iPod. I wisely said no this time. Thank god :).
