Cable television is interesting sometimes....

I have 90 some channels, including HBO and HBO2...

And I'll find...there's not a damn thing on worth watching! Hell, tonight I was watching "The Captial Gang" and "The McLaughlin Group"...and to realize I'm spending a Saturday night with the likes of Robert Novak, Kate O'Berne, Pat Buchanan and John McLaughlin...ugh, to say the least.

I wonder sometimes about the promise of television when it first came out. Does anyone remember "The Golden Age of Television", in the 60's? Quality drama...

Now, television seems to be people shouting at one another.

What happened, anyway?

BTW...no, I'm not going to give up cable...or television in general. I'll watch...I'm addicted. But I just wonder what happened to this amazing technological invention that has changed our lives.
