I watch that channel all the time for school closings and I totally missed those. :(

I saw the actual webring the people who did them posted to as they were doing it, I thought I bookmarked it but can't find it now...oh well...anyway, it was funny as hell to watch it unfold. :D

7. When I was in Journalism School at Mizzou
the school ran the local CBS affiliate, and students and professors did all the news shows. They decided to have a live call-in program about local issues. Bad idea in a college town. It went something like this:

Host: You're on the air.

Caller: FUCK YOU!

Host: (embarrassed) Let's go to the next caller.

Caller: Yeah, FUCK YOU! And fuck your mother, too!


So the FCC sent them a warning letter, and they put in a five second delay. Which didn't help:

Host: You're on the air.

Caller: I'd like to talk about that new radio station, KUNT. It's a little fuzzy.

Host: Thank you. I'm sure they'll appreciate your feedback.


Ah, the simple joys of college.
