What is your favorite evil sounding music.
You know. Dark brooding music.

I have to go with Appocolyptica's Hall of the Mountain King.

Whats yours?

You are into some COOL shit, CanuckAmok - I rarely encounter other fans of Nurse With Wound.

To your list I'd add Current 93's "Falling Back in Fields of Rape" from the Dog's Blood Rising album. That little kid shouting "IN A FOREIGN TOWN, IN A FOREIGN LAND, REAPING TIME HAS COME..." That's some of the most chilling shit ever committed to vinyl, definitely up there with the Hellraiser Themes.

I have some of his collaborations with NWW and Death in June, but the only strictly Current 93 CD I have is "Lucifer Over London", which is great!

I do know someone who had an affair with David Tibet in 1989, so that has to count for something!

20. Most of their early catalogue is far, far harder....
Wat and Nato are the only two titles which are still available AFAIK. The early stuff (Nova Akropola, Baptism, and Vhutemas Archetepi) are way more "Industrial, but sadly out of print.

They also recorded a complete album covering the Beatles "Let it Be" album, and a cover of the entire "Jesus Christ, Superstar" rock opera.

either "Nova Akropola" or a compilation album called "Vhutemas Archetypi", which features Laibach, Hunting Lodge, SPK, and a couple of other bands.

However, I believe Nova and Vhutemas are both out of print and quite hard to find. I have them both, but on vinyl.

In the betting of names on gold to rust
In the land of the blind

58. Electric Hellfire Club
Edited on Sun Mar-07-04 05:50 AM by khephra
INVITATION TO YOUR DAMNATION

“Welcome…to another meeting of The Electric Hellfire Club…where rogues and scoundrels gather with diabolical machines and infernal devices to conjure sounds and images from the darkest depths of Hell. Hear demon trumpets and devil trombones evoke images of glorious evil and supreme decadence. See visions burning sinners and devils with pitchforks torturing damned souls in a lake of everlasting fire. You are invited.”

KISS THE GOAT

You're standing at the crossroads and
You're wondering which way to turn
Should you save your soul for heaven?
Or should you let it burn?
Choose the Left-Hand Path
And embrace the endless night
Reject the lies and falsehoods of the
Hypocrites on the right

If you are truly a child of darkness
If you were born to walk this road
You must sever your ties
From all mankind...the time has come to
KISS THE GOAT!

Debase yourself with the Kiss of Shame
Let your inhibitions go up in flames
Kiss the Goat...seal the pact
Show your devotion with a blasphemous act

Kneel before your lord and master
...Say you will serve him forever after
Kiss the Goat! Prove your worth
To our master Satan...Lord of this earth

Pledge the allegiance that a prince deserves
Serve Satan as he's meant to be served!

Kiss the Goat...seal the pact
Show your devotion with a blasphemous act
Kiss the Goat! Prove your worth
To our master Satan...Lord of this earth

Who among you is ready...to deny the false
god Jehovah and his bastard son Christ--the
Masochistic liar? Who dares pledge allegiance
To the Prince of Darkness? Come forward and
Be baptized in the name of our lord Satan.
KISS THE GOAT AND REAP THE
REWARDS YOU ARE DUE!
As Judas betrayed the King of the Slaves...
Like a pledge of love eternal...press your lips
Against the future and become your own redeemer!

is Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings. Seems to be used a lot for background music in movies. I've always liked it when I need to listen to something sad.

Sample can be found:

Click the first version on the list...you will recognize it ( for those not familiar with it)

65. September 12, 2001....
Still in shock from the events of the previous day, I turned on CBC Radio 2 (Classical) in my office, to escape from the constant news reports. They had programmed ver sombre and contemplative music all day, and the first thing I heard when I turned the radio on was Barber's Adagio for Strings, Opus 11.

I broke down, and cried for the first time since before the attacks began. I can't even listen to that piece anymore.

62. The Torture Never Stops - Frank Zappa

If that song doesn't make you feel like you are in the torture room of a dark damp dungeon, I don't know what does.

Cheers

72. Danzig
Hordes of faces
Empty eyes
I see nothing new
Seasoned schemes of slimy curs
Offer up their flu
Am I beast or
Am I human
Am I just like you
Power seething
Really reeling
Reaching out for you

Am I demon
You need to know

Faces of a million hells
Rage inside these veins
Pounding out desrved pain
To anyone in need
Am I beast or
Am I human
Am I just like you
Power seething
Really reeling
Reaching out for you
Am I demon
Need to know

??
Wo-oh, wo-oh

Am I demon
Need to know
??
Wo-oh, wo-oh

Every world
And every limb
Torn asunder base
Everything I need is me
Everything I am
Am I beast or
Am I human
Am I just like you
Power seething
Really reeling
Reaching out for you

Am I demon
You need to know
??
Wo-oh, wo-oh

Am I demon
Need to know
