1. Usually the knob doubles as an on switch...
try either pushing on the volume knob or turning it.

2. There is no nob. The wires just enter the back of the speakers. No button. No nothing.

4. Ok...I'm stumped.
I truly have no idea...I'd think they'd be on automatically in that case. Is the computer muted or the volume control in the computer turned way down?

7. That's an idea. I'll try playing with the volume on the computer.

3. Plug them in.
No sound? Then they don't work. Sound? You're set.

8. LOL. There is no electricity plug. These things only have one wire coming out of them and that
goes to the back of the computer.

5. My dear applegrove...
I'd throw them away, and get some really good speakers...

Just sayin'...

You get what you pay for!

6. What you have are unamplified speakers
Since they do not have an amplifier, they do not need power, and therefore do not need an on/off switch.

The only reason speakers have the switch is because they have a small, built-in amplifier that requires power of some sort.

The speakers probably won't be very loud, as the only amplification will be coming from your computer.
