So I really cleaned up my place yesterday and brought the small room into a kind of order. It looks really really nice. Wish you all could see it. So when is the next International DU meet-up in Frankfurt?

so I have another German question for you. I know that the word "mensch" is Yiddish, but I was wondering if it is an active word in German too. I figured if anyone would know the answer it would be you. :)

You know, the really sad thing about not knowing German is that I have a great-aunt who is German and we have family friends who speak Swiss-German (I think that's what it's called). You'd think I'd know something. :shrug:

they missed a sound change. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sound_change. So even if you would speak German you would have a hard time to understand them if they's speak the dialect. Swiss people are able to speak high German though :)
