The visiting nurse rushed over to get her pain meds. The morphine was in liquid form. I don't think they use it for anybody else; they just don't want it to be used by anyone other than the patient. It surprised me that that was the first thing they did. I was a little insulted, but I understood their reasoning.
They did the same thing at the hospice when my boyfriend died. They have to log it and then they destroy it. One of the nurses told me it is a law and any missing medicine must be reported.
