Serious: you are right, and accessing the account without a legitimate business need is pretty much an immediate either very-close-to or actual termination, depending on what actually happened. I do access live accounts for training purposes, and if I do, they're from people with non-descript names who we have absolute no knowledge of, in a completely different state, and the account is duly notated. But a few years ago I think a few people who worked for who I work for got busted for simply taking down the card details for people who called in anyway and recorded their details - they HAD a legitimate need to access the account, so no red flag there - and then made counterfeit cards and rang up lots of charges. It was so embarrassing, it didn't get disclosed here at all, it was very hush-hush.

Bottom line: if someone wants to misuse your data and gets hold of it, they probably will, if they think they can get away with it.
