Woah! We just watched a red ball of (fire?) descend from the sky
It was large but got smaller and smaller before disappearing from view.

:wow:

1. Sounds like a fireball/meteorite...COOL!
Hopefully it all burned up before hitting the ground...

2. That, my friend, was A-Rod's career.
I'm surprised you could see it, considering how far away you are from NY.

3. They just showed something about that on CBS News
Apparently they were spotted all over Texas today. The one over Austin got on film because of the marathon being run today. Speculation is that they are remnants of that satellite collision last week. :wow:

8. But we're on the east coast
It either landed in the Atlantic Ocean (though it looked closer) or in Quincy, Weymouth or Hull. We were watching it and I thought about getting the camera but then it was gone.

That was amazing to watch and I'm eager to see where it landed. I know we couldn't have been the only people to notice it.

32. Probably satellite stuff.
Those two satellites that collided are causing quite the ruckus. Lots of debris where many of them orbit. I imagine we may have a man-made meteor shower for a while.

13. Maybe?
Would it appear that large and low to the ground? It was moving slowly and roughly a 45 degree angle (give or take) towards the ground.
