What is the last TOTALLY IMMATURE thing you did that you don't regret?

And why?

Here's mine:

What I did: I joined in the chorus of those who booo'd loudly as W was announced when he joined the platform at Obama's inauguration. I look back at that moment on the tape and absolutely relish the sour expression on his face as he is faced with that moment of truth. Gotcher "legacy" right here, asshat.

Why: After eight years of listening to that moron mangle the English language and smirk while he and his cronies committed war crimes, raped the treasury, destroyed our country, eroded our civil liberties and ruined our diplomatic standing in the world, I wasn't going to squander the one opportunity I will (probably) ever have to engage him as a captive audience and make him hear my voice.

And it felt good. Reeeeeeeal gooooood.

:7

Your turn.

I'm living in one room until I get heat again. (My furnace died Thursday) It's getting pretty bad in here. Not trash, just stuff. Oh, and the cats live in my room too since it's warm, so I've got two felines sprawled out on my bed. There's cat hair everywhere. x(

Fight the fear, or just go through the motions without thinking, and hopefully you'll pull through it. One of the best lines in a truly awful country song I've ever heard (not that it originated in that song) is "If you're going through Hell, just keep going, and you might get out before the Devil knows you're there." (or something like that). Internet advice is cheap, ain't it?

28. Last Friday, I stood on a chair at a bar and sang "Keep on Lovin' You" by REO Speedwagon
...as well as a few bits of some Styx songs. And Asia.

Better yet, it was not a karaoke bar, and I was completely sober (I haven't had a drop of alcohol in almost two years).

And even better yet, there was a woman there who I was kinda-sorta trying to impress.

How's that for totally immature? ;)

It's amazing that, since I've quit drinking, I'm much more liable to do something immature in public, for the sheer goofiness of it. Of course, the $20 bill that somebody shoved into my waistband helped out a bit, too. :P

43. The thing about drinking
is that people who drink find it necessary to act as sober as they can. Sober people have no such constraints, so they can be more goofy, and can remember it in the morning. This from a non-drinker who observes a lot.

49. That makes a lot of sense jobycom
I was always a pretty moody drunk, anyway. Now, sans booze, I'm a lot more entertaining when everyone is drinking, for some reason. Sometimes I miss the booze, but I know that I can't drink again because it would have too detrimental an effect on my other health issues, so I cut it out.
