I met someone interesting today...
A lot of people who come into my store like to talk to me about their lives. Since I like hearing other people's stories, I'm willing to listen.

Today this magnificent old woman came in to buy Depends for her husband, who has suffered a series of TIAs. She hired a caregiver from Kenya, and now she's sort of adopted the caregiver as a family member--they are all going to Kenya together in December to bring back the caregiver's 6-yr-old daughter. The old woman has been learning Swahili in preparation for having the little girl move in, and has been corresponding with the caregiver's family in Kenya.

It's always great to see someone who has kept an openness to adventure into their old age.

Tucker
