I am considering leveling a toon on Diablo2 again

I just got done watching the trailers and such for Diablo3.

Sometimes mindless killing has its purpose. No plev, no necessary quest... just mindless killing.

Has anyone done this lately? Played Diablo2 that is.

Is it like stepping back into time, or is it still as fun?

1. I never bought Diablo 2, but I still play the first Diablo sometimes.

I'll admit, I play it more to hear that music than anything. There are way better RPGs out there, but Diablo had the coolest music. It practically hypnotized me somehow.

Everytime I'd try to play another RPG i'd feel guilty for cheating on WoW. But for me in WoW mindless killing of npc's got boring so mindless PVP was the way.

I remember seeing the "gameplay" video about the barbarian over a year ago.

We played a lot of different games WoW , Heroes of Might and Magic I thru V didn't like IV. I don't mind V but I really like #3.
Age of Empires was good too.

My favourite always will be Diablo.

18. I used to play Age of Empires for hours on end.

I would set up my own scenarios that would be next to impossible to win, then type bigdaddy 50 times and go to town. The only downside to that was when the other priests would convert them to their team. Then, I had to make more. Hoyohoyo was a fun one to use too.

Perfect sapphires. Ice damage. My favorite. My favorite in most games, to be honest. Not much better than slowing down your enemies at the same time as you do damage.

21. I installed it on my PC at work

I installed it on my PC at work and have been playing during my lunch hour. Kinda fun so far (I've never played it before), but I've only been playing it this week.

I have learned one really important lesson though-- when the hot receptionist asked me what I was doing as she passed by, I should have said, "just surfing..."

But noooo-- I had to go and tell her what I was actually doing. Now all the twentysomething hipper-than-thou guys are telling me to do this and this and this in the game, and all the hot girls are rolling their eyes at me.

Being a nerd-- "every time I try to get out, they puuullll me back in!"
