Electronics/electricity question
I have a device (a guitar fx pedal) that requires a 9v 750ma power adapter. I've looked high and low, and can't find the one that came with it. I do, however, have a universal adapter that can deliver 9v 1000ma.

Am I going to hurt something with a higher ma?

The pedal will draw 750 of the available 1000ma. The opposite would be a problem and could cook the power adapter (the pedal would try to draw more power that the adapter is capable of delivering). Next issue is the type of connector, those little barrel jobbies come in different sizes.
