A new idea for mashups: TV themes!
I don't know why nobody has done this before. I realized today that the themes from "Alf" and "Taxi" would go together very well.

1. Stewart and Colbert

The Daily Show theme is actually a Replacements song called -- wait for it -- "Dog on Fire". Except for the first few fanfare-like notes, Colbert's theme, immediately following, sounds similar enough to evoke thougths of "Doo-lang, doo-lang doo-lang".

edit: and the eagle scream at the end, of course!

2. Actually, it's a Bob Mould tune.

3. Now that makes sense.
Can't you just see Mould holding the blowtorch up to the doomed canine?
